Hi! I’m sorry it took me so long to write this and I hope you like it! I’m not quite sure if this is what you meant, but I did my best with it.

“You’re going to wear that to a wedding?” Dean asked as you walked into the bunker’s kitchen in your pyjamas.

“Yes, and then I’m going to wear it when I go meet the Queen,” you replied sarcastically. “Seriously though, I’m not going to any wedding today. How did you find out, anyway?”

“I found the invitation on the ground beside the bin,” Dean explained. “And you can’t not go! It’s your cousin Stacey that’s getting married!”

“You’ve never even met my cousin Stacey!”

“Yeah, but I’m sure her wedding will be awesome.”

“Dean,” you sighed, “I’m not going. I didn’t RSVP and I’m definitely not going alone.”

“Take me then. And besides, people always overbook at weddings. I’m sure they won’t mind an extra two people,” Dean answered.

“You’d go to a wedding with me?” you asked doubtfully.

“Sure. Why not?”

“Alright. Well, I guess I better get ready. And you should too,” you told him, heading back out of the room after grabbing a couple of slices of toast from Dean’s plate.

“Take my food again and I’ll retract my offer!” Dean called after you. You grinned as you shut your bedroom door behind you.

It took you a while, but you were finally able to find a suitable dress that didn’t have too many creases in it. You spent a bit of time on your hair and make up too, but gave up after a while, figuring you wouldn’t stay very long.

“Alright, let’s go,” you sighed, stepping out of your room to meet Dean.

He turned around and when his eyes found you, he sucked in a sharp breath. “Y/N, you look…wow.”

“Don’t mock me,” you said.

“I’m not! You really do look incredible!”

“Well, thank you,” you answered carefully. “But we should probably go now.”

“Sure,” Dean nodded.

—-

From the moment you pulled up outside the church, you knew exactly why you hated weddings.

“Dean, I can’t do this. I haven’t seen my family in ages! What am I supposed to tell them about what I do now? How do I explain hunting?” You were starting to panic, so Dean rested his hands on your shoulders.

“Y/N, it’s gonna be fine. Trust me. Now, why don’t you go talk to some people while I park Baby?”

“Alright,” you responded, stepping out from the car.

“Y/N!” you heard a voice call to you as Dean drove around the corner. You turned to find your aunt and uncle walking towards you. “We didn’t expect to find you here!” your aunt continued.

“It was a bit of a last minute decision,” you explained.

“I can see that. I mean, you didn’t even have time to wrangle up a date!” she laughed. “Not that we really expected much different. No offence.”

“Actually,” a deep voice said from beside you, “I was just parking the car. I’m Dean Winchester, Y/N’s boyfriend,” Dean introduced himself.

“It’s nice to meet you,” your aunt said as your uncle shook the hand Dean had offered. Both relatives looked quite flustered at having been proved wrong.

“Well,” your uncle began awkwardly, “we should probably go. We have a lot of catching up to do.”

“Goodbye,” you said as they moved away.

As soon as they were gone, you turned to Dean. “What the hell?” you hissed.

“What?”

“Why did you tell them you were my boyfriend?”

“They were being really nasty to you and I wanted to prove them wrong. Besides, dating me wouldn’t be so terrible, would it?”

“I-but-that’s not the point!” you burst out, a blush creeping up your neck.

“How about we go inside?” Dean suggested. “I think the ceremony’s starting soon.”

—-

After the ceremony had ended, you all headed outside, where the bridal party had their photos taken.

“You brought a Winchester, I see,” a voice drawled.

“Do I know you?” you asked the man who had approached you.

“You know of me,” he replied, opening his jaw to reveal a large set of teeth and forked tongue.

“Leviathan,” you whispered.

“Bingo! Hey everyone,” he called, his voice rising so that those around you could hear. “Did you know that Y/N isn’t actually dating Dean Winchester? They lied so she wouldn’t seem pathetic to you.”

A few people nearby started to murmur, glancing between you, Dean and the leviathan. “What are you playing at?” you hissed.

“I think secrets can really get in the way of relationships, don’t you think? You know, I think it’s about time we tell everyone what you do for a living.”

Your eyes widened as panic filled you. But before you could do anything, Dean had already stepped forward, grabbing the leviathan by the front of his suit and pulling him so that his face was right in front of Dean’s. “If you dare -”

“Dean,” you interrupted, casting your eyes around at the concerned looks you were receiving, “let me deal with this. We can take him round there.” You indicate towards where Dean had parked the Impala.

Dean consented and dragged the leviathan around the corner, out of sight of the wedding guests.

“Do you really think you can do anything to harm me?”

“I really do,” you replied, flinging Boraxo in his face. While his skin was burning, you snatched up the knife that Dean offered and sliced his head off.

As it hit the ground with a soft thump, you sagged back into Dean.

He straightened you up and went to put the head inside a box he’d retrieved from the Impala.

“We better go bury these,” he told you. When you didn’t answer, he added, “Y/N? You listening?”

“Can’t I just go to my cousin’s wedding without some creepy monster drama taking place?”

“If it means anything to you, I thought you were pretty badass when you took that sucker down.”

You gave him a small smile. “I just wish I didn’t have to put up with all this crap 24/7.”

“Then don’t,” Dean said. When you looked up at him blankly, he went into a little more detail. “We can take a break. Rent some movies, order pizza, just do absolutely nothing. What do you think?”

“I think you’re the best fake boyfriend ever,” you answered, throwing your arms around his neck.

“Do me a favour,” Dean murmured in your ear.

“Hmm?”

“Do you think we could get rid of the ‘fake’ part?”

You pulled back and grinned up at him. “I thought you’d never ask.”
