Hey! Sorry for the wait. I have been saying that entirely too much lately. Anyway, I hope this is what you were after!

“Castiel, please come down here. It’s urgent,” you prayed. At the sound of beating wings, you turned to see Cas standing in the room behind you.
“Y/N, what’s wrong?” he asked, coming over to check you for any injuries.
“Nothing’s wrong, Cas. It’s just…” You bit your lip.
“Y/N, you can tell me anything.”
Instead of responding, you shoved the item in your hand at him. Castiel took it from you and frowned down at it.
“I don’t understand. What is this?” he asked
You exhaled heavily. “Cas…it’s a pregnancy test,” you whispered.
Slowly, realisation dawned on Cas’ features. “You’re pregnant?” he asked. You nodded slowly.
“Don’t be mad!” you pleaded.
“Why would I be mad at you?” he enquired.
“Well, it’s not something we’ve ever talked about. And it’s a pretty big commitment. And I’m sure this is taboo or something, right?” you rambled.
“Y/N,” Cas cut you off. He placed his hand under your chin and tilted your head up so that your eyes met his. “None of that matters. This is wonderful news.”
“Really?” you asked, your face breaking out into a grin.
“Of course,” Cas replied. “You’re beautiful Y/N. You’ll be an incredible mother.”
“You’ll be an amazing father, too,” you told him.
Cas smiled ruefully. “I wouldn’t count on that. But I will protect you and love you, Y/N. You and the baby.” He knelt down so that he was looking directly at your stomach. “Did you hear that? I’m your father. And I’m never going to let anything happen to you. And I will always, always love you.”
You smiled softly upon hearing these words. “Cas,” you murmured.
“Yes, Y/N?” he responded, drawing himself back up to his full height.
“Do you honestly expect me to believe that you won’t be a good father? After hearing what you just said?”
Cas stood there watching you, seemingly at a loss for words.
“I know you’ve made mistakes in the past,” you told him. “Pretty big ones, too. But you won’t stuff this up. I believe in you.”
You could’ve sworn you saw Cas blink back tears. “Thank you, Y/N,” he said, pulling you into his arms. You wrapped your arms around him in return.
You couldn’t help grinning into his neck. You were finally going to have a family.

Thanks for reading! I’m going to go on a mini writing blitz over the next few days. I have 13 requests in my inbox (some of them a few weeks old) and I’m hoping to have them cleared out within the week! Wish me luck!
